Parivaar-Sahyadri's stated objective is to bring together parents' associations and organizations working for PwIDDs and to promote their rights, inclusion and empowerment.
The membership is intended for an organization/association, which becomes a member through its authorized representative.
Who cannot become a Member?
Who cannot become a Member?
An individual person cannot take Parivaar-Sahyadri Membership in his/her personal capacity.
Two categories of Memberships
Two categories of Memberships
Organizations working with a focus on Intellectual Disability, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Disabilities, Special education, Early intervention, Vocational training, Employment/self-employment, Day-care or residential services, Parent support and advocacy, Rights and inclusion of PwIDDs, etc. are further categorized as:
Parent Organization (PO)
Organization primarily formed/led by parents/families of persons with IDD such as Parents' associations and family-led organizations
Non-Parent Organization (Non-PO)
Organization working for PwIDDs but not constituted primarily as a parents' association such as NGOs, special schools, vocational centres, service organizations, etc.
